Sienna Spiro Talks 'Die on this Hill,' Break Ups, Jimmy Fallon and New Album "Visitor"

30 Jun 2026 · 1 h 04 min · Episode 1047 · Explicit

We’re insanely excited to have 20-year-old London chanteuse Sienna Spiro on the couch. In the past year her career has gone stratospheric thanks to her retro-tinged ballads, instantly chic 60s styling, and her husky powerhouse vocals. If you like Adele, you’ll be falling for Sienna. Touting her debut album ‘Visitor’ we get into all the stories behind the songs from the depression (“Pure”), to the relationship with an older man ("Great Expectations" and "He's Not My Baby, I'm His”), to the recurring themes of impermanence and time (“Mono No Aware”).

We also discuss her mother's brain tumour diagnosis, emotional numbness, taking inspiration from Roberta Flack and Dusty Springfield, working with Omer Fedi, songwriting "speed dating," how she went from a puffer jackets to a slick bouffant beehives, and the importance — and struggle — to stay present.
