Episode Can the Colorado Avalanche AFFORD to Keep Artturi Lehkonen!?
Artturi Lehkonen is off to a scorching start for the Colorado Avalanche, but his contract year could create a major salary-cap decision for the Avs. We break down Lehkonen’s value alongside Nathan MacKinnon, what his next contract could cost, and whether Colorado can afford to keep him with Martin Necas, Cale Makar and other core players already commanding major money. Could an $8–9 million AAV deal keep Lehkonen in Colorado, or will another NHL team price the Avalanche out? Plus, we discuss his injury history, long-term fit and why this season could determine his future with the Avs. AJ Haefele, Bailey Curtis & Rudo break down what an Artturi Lehkonen Extension looks like.
