Films, series and broadcasts from their rights holders
Full-length films, full episodes of series and live broadcasts that studios, distributors, broadcasters, archives and sports bodies post free on their own YouTube channels. Each plays in YouTube's player, with YouTube's ads, loaded only when you press Play on its page.
Whose videos these are, which are listed, and who sees what
Only the rights holders' own channels: studios, distributors, broadcasters, archives and sports bodies that own or license what they post. Each is listed because its own official website links that very channel and states its name, checked again every week by the same rule for every one of them, with no person in between; nothing is taken from anyone else's uploads. Every rights holder found, with its evidence, and those left out with the reason.
A film is listed when it runs 40 minutes to 4½ hours and its title names no trailer, preview, scene, episode or compilation. An episode is one its rights holder calls one, in its title ("Full Episode", "S2, E7") or by putting it in a playlist for its series or season, and it runs 10 minutes to 3 hours; a compilation, marathon or "best of" is listed as that, never as an episode. A broadcast is one YouTube says is on now or to come; once it has ended it stays as its recording if it runs 10 minutes to 12 hours and names no extract. Each is listed only when its rights holder lets other sites play it, and when it plays where you are. Its page shows the region its rights holder set on YouTube.
Who sees what follows YouTube's own data: a video YouTube age-restricts is for adults (and plays only on YouTube); one with a rating its rights holder set on YouTube is for the profiles that rating's age admits; one with no rating is for adults. None is shown to profiles under 13 for now. Sexual content is left out.
The titles, descriptions, pictures, lengths, categories, ratings, regions and broadcast times come from YouTube and are read again daily (broadcasts every ten minutes as they start); nothing read from YouTube is kept here longer than 30 days. The rights holders named, how they were checked, what is a film, an episode or a compilation by its own title, and the profiles a video is shown to are this site's own. What playing a video here means for your privacy.
