Sustainable Materials and Green Buildings
Prof. B Bhattacharjee · IIT Delhi
About
The objectives of this course is to expose the students to the concepts of sustainability in the context of building and conventional engineered building materials, such as concrete, bricks, and achieving the same through lower carbon cements, superior brick kilns and recycled aggregate minimizing consumption of natural resources including water. VOC and indoor air quality. Exposing the student to concepts of embodied, operational and life cycle energy, minimizing energy consumption by optimal design, use of BIPV. The course also intend to make student aware of ECBC, LEED, GRIHA etc
INTENDED AUDIENCE : Civil Engineering & Architecture students and professionals
