About

Fungal infections present major threats to the health of the world’s most important crops - rice, wheat, maize, potatoes, soybean and sugarcane - and are responsible for massive economic losses throughout the world. Fungal diseases of trees, including Chestnut blight, Dutch elm disease, Sudden oak death, Red band needle blight and Ash dieback (Chalara) are also increasing threats not only to our landscape but also to our timber industry. Part of the Mondays at One Autumn series.
