About

This presentation focuses on the practical implications of deploying a White Rabbit-based commercial Time as a Service network. We address topics including DWDM filter design, firewalls, bookkeeping, and silent errors — the operational details that determine reliability. Our service is scoped strictly to T&F transport, with 1PPS and 10MHz as the customer demarcation point. This clean boundary creates an inherently cyber-safe architecture. The T&F network is built in parallel with a 400G data network, with a 1625nm OTDR continuously monitoring fiber health. Rather than relying on the α coefficient, we apply a mathematical model for propagation delays, with every component serialised and its measured delay recorded in a central database — ensuring operational excellence when deploying or replacing hardware.
