About

EuPRAXIA is an European Iniative to fully exploit plasma based accelerator concept and translating their remarkable scientific achievements into the creation of a European distributed research infrastructure. Since its inception in 2015, EuPRAXIA has evolved through a collaborative, bottom-up approach, engaging a wide network of institutes and research centers across Europe. Following its inclusion in the ESFRI 2021 Roadmap, the initiative has gained significant momentum, with multiple complementary projects currently underway, supported by diverse national and European funding schemes. This increasingly complex landscape has brought to light a number of governance and project management challenges, particularly concerning coordination, strategic alignment, and sustainability across multiple stakeholders and funding frameworks. This contribution highlights the different challenges in the application of Project Management Methdologies and how they have to adapt to the different phases within the lifecycle of an ESFRI project focusing on a multi-project and multi-stakeholder perspective.
