About

This seminar will present recent measurements from the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, providing new insights into the Higgs boson's Yukawa coupling with heavy quarks. Using 140 fb⁻¹ of proton-proton collision data at √s = 13 TeV, the Higgs boson production in association with a vector boson (VH, with V=W or Z boson) and a top quark pair (ttH) with the subsequent decay of the Higgs boson into heavy quarks (bottom or charm quarks) are studied. These studies probe the Higgs boson's couplings to top, bottom, and charm quarks. They also provide measurements of Higgs boson production cross sections in several regions of phase space, including in particular regions with high transverse momentum, which are particularly sensitive to physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). Compared to earlier measurements, they have improved precision, advancing our understanding of the SM. The seminar will also highlight the main challenges in these complex analyses, such as jet flavor tagging and the modeling of key background processes.
