One press of Sing plays this song on this device (3:55) and stops after the last: the piano and the words come from the score, so a key change or a slower tempo changes no sound file.

The microphone is asked for only when you press its button. What it hears is measured and scored on this device and never leaves it; nothing is kept unless you record and save the file yourself. What is kept, and where.

The words

schaute

freundlich noch nach mir heraus;

Spärlich reicht man mir die Gaben,

mürrisch heisset man mich gehn;

ach, den armen braunen Knaben mag kein

Einziger verstehn.

meiner Lieder aufgespielt;

schwangen

Mondenglanze freier atmet jede Brust.

schlingt.

  Nein, des Herzens sehnend Schlagen,

länger halt' ich's nicht zurück!

will ja jeder Lust entsagen,

lasst mir nur der Heimat Glück.

Spanien,

in das Land voll Sonnenschein! Dort im

Schatten der Kastanien muss ich einst

begraben sein.
