Teaching With AI in Rural Community Colleges: A Practical Guide for Workforce Education and Career-technical Programs

by Caroline Scott

This guide documents what happened when a small rural community college spent a year taking generative AI seriously. It grew out of the recurring question a handful of overcommitted faculty kept asking each other in hallways and over email: what is this thing actually doing to our students, and what, if anything, should we do about it?
