    7.1: Scenario Brief

    Scenario Brief

From: Director of Product Delivery, C-Bay Inc.
Subject: Task 5 – Launching Execution and Preparing for Real-Time Challenges

    Team,

We are now at Week 0 of execution for the NovaMed Software Platform, and development is officially beginning with our outsourced partner, WinSoft Systems. As C-Bay’s internal project leadership team, your responsibility is to monitor the day-to-day execution, resolve issues as they arise, and keep the initiative moving forward.

This is where your planning meets reality.

    Your Objectives:

You will begin receiving a series of execution-phase documents, emails, and performance reports. Each one will simulate the challenges that arise during live development—including missed deliverables, budget fluctuations, stakeholder escalations, and team confusion.

    Your role is to:

    • Read each memo and identify the underlying issue
    • Analyze available data (status reports, SPI/CPI, cost trends)
    • Respond with a clear, professional communication (e.g., action memo, decision update, status summary)
    • Recommend adjustments, controls, or escalations as needed
    • Communicate proactively to both C-Bay leadership and WinSoft Systems

You’ll start with a baseline status at Week 0, then receive staged inputs over the coming “weeks” to simulate a fast-paced project environment. Expect 6–8 scenario memos and performance snapshots as the project unfolds.

Your deliverables for each scenario will include:

    • Your interpretation of the issue
    • A professional response or corrective action plan
    • Any forecast, metric, or recommendation that helps C-Bay manage the project successfully

You are not expected to prevent all problems.
You are expected to respond like a leader when they happen.

Let’s launch execution with focus, urgency, and professionalism.
