Pro Tips for Cooling System Maintenance

✔ Inspect condenser and evaporator coils regularly for dirt buildup.
✔ Check refrigerant levels using the superheat and subcooling method.
✔ Ensure proper airflow by inspecting ductwork and vents.
✔ Test for refrigerant leaks before recharging a system.
✔ Monitor compressor performance for unusual noises or excessive cycling.
✔ Verify thermostat accuracy and recalibrate if needed.
✔ Inspect electrical connections for corrosion or loose terminals.
✔ Perform a full system evacuation before recharging refrigerant.

    HVAC Cooling System Maintenance Checklist

✔ Check and clean air filters every 1-3 months.
✔ Inspect and tighten electrical connections to prevent arcing.
✔ Lubricate fan motors and bearings if applicable.
✔ Test defrost cycles on refrigeration systems.
✔ Check the condensate drain line for blockages.
✔ Measure system pressures with a manifold gauge set.
✔ Ensure proper refrigerant recovery when servicing systems.
✔ Examine expansion valves for proper operation and potential restrictions.
✔ Calibrate the thermostat for accurate temperature control.
✔ Inspect blower fans and belts for wear and proper tension.
