    8.13: Conclusion

Rainbow, textured facade, mimicking the appearance of cloth books on a shelf

This chapter outlined how your library organizes materials and provided guidance on how you can search for resources that the library physically owns. Even though there are standards such as the Dewey Decimal System that libraries use to organize their materials, you may find that your college library has some unique and different ways of providing access to their physical collection. So, explore your library shelves and ask a librarian if you’re unsure how to find an item. After familiarizing yourself with the library, it will become much easier to access those resources that you will need to complete your course assignments successfully.
