    Hearing Protection

    Ways to Protect Hearing:

    1. Avoid Loud Noises:
    • Use the 60/60 Rule for headphones (60% volume for max 60 minutes).
    • Stay away from loud speakers at events or wear ear protection.
    1. Use Ear Protection:
    • Earplugs or noise-canceling headphones in noisy environments.
    • Custom-molded earplugs for musicians or industrial workers.
    1. Monitor Volume Levels:
    • Install decibel meter apps on phones.
    • Keep volume below 85 dB when listening to music.
    1. Get Regular Hearing Checks:
    • Especially important for people over 50 or in noisy workplaces.
    1. Avoid Inserting Objects Into Ears:
    • Cotton swabs and other objects can damage the ear canal and eardrum.
