9: Voices and Truths

Some of the best writing I have read came from my own students and friends. I teach at a two-year technical college, not a place known for its presence in the world of creative writing. Some of these pieces came from journal prompts; others, from assignments on structure; still others came from a strong need to record their experiences in order to make sense of life. All of them are authentic, beautiful voices expressing their truths.
