    2.3: Creative Project Assignment

The Creative Project will be graded on the following criteria:

    RELEVANCE:

Project clearly communicates the creator’s main

claim about an issue. It makes a strong statement about a

particular issue that is arguable, relevant, and maybe even

controversial. (Communicated through the 1-page explanation)

LOGIC: Author gives a clear explanation of their personal stake

    – why the project is important to them—and makes sure that the

claims made are coherent and logical. There are no logical

    fallacies.

    RESEARCH:

Research comes from a credible source and

provides strong support for points made. Sources are correctly

    cited.

    ORIGINALITY:

Work represents the original voice of the creator.

It is not boring or contrived; in fact, it is exciting and moving. It

inspires action and/or reflection about the issue. Even if some of

the content was found online or elsewhere, creator modified the

material to communicate their own original ideas. (Please cite

    your sources)

    PRESENTATION:

    Presentation demeanor is

professional/academic. Fluctuation in volume and inflection help

to maintain audience interest and emphasize key points. Quick

    recovery from minor mistakes.
