    13.9: Assessments

    Learning Objectives

After completing this chapter, students will be able to:

    1. Describe IoT device management in the cloud: provisioning, authentication, monitoring, remote updates, and device twins.
    2. Compare IoT cloud platforms (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT) and their capabilities.
    3. Explain IoT-cloud integration architecture including the four-layer model (device, network, processing, application).
    4. Differentiate between IoT communication protocols: MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and AMQP.
    5. Analyze edge computing concepts and their role in reducing latency and enabling real-time processing.
    6. Evaluate security, governance, and compliance considerations for IoT and edge deployments.
    7. Design IoT-cloud solutions that balance edge processing with centralized cloud analytics.
