2: Periodic Signals and Data Acquisition

The fundamental features of periodic signals are introduced along with combination of mechanisms to characterize. The associated discrete step sampling is introduced along with mechanism to avoid common errors in observation.

    Learning Objectives
    • Convert sine and cosine with appropriate frequency, amplitude, and phase
    • Calculate preliminary statistics of the range of data
    • Prepare to collect future data recognizing frequency aliasing, analog-to-digital conversion, and other elements
