    5.7: Laboratory Questions
    1. What was the difference in volume between the room temperature balloon and the cold balloon? Show your calculation.
    2. What was the difference in volume between the room temperature balloon and the warm balloon? Show your calculation.
    3. Based on your experimental data, what can you conclude about the relationship between the temperature and volume of a gas that is at constant pressure and amount of gas?
    4. Why do you think you saw the relationship between temperature and volume that you did? What is happening with the molecules of gas?
    5. A thermos (which has constant volume) was filled halfway with hot oatmeal, closed tightly and then left for 24 hours. The oatmeal had cooled to room temperature. The cap of the thermos was very difficult to remove. Why do you think this was? Use gas laws to help you explain.
    6. Include a picture of the measuring tape OR string and ruler, as well as the thermometer used. Please be sure to show the tick marks on your tools.
