About this recording
A daring and mysterious Englishman makes it his mission to rescue the victims of the French revolution, sneaking into Paris in the dead of night in disguise. All the while, he pretends to be a silly foppish English lord, enamored with fashion and poetry. His wife has a dark secret she carries, and the devilish investigator of the French is always getting closer to finding the true identity of The Scarlet Pimpernel. - Summary by Andrew Donald Ash
