The Butterflies and Moths of Teneriffe

"The Butterflies and Moths of Teneriffe" by A. E. Holt White is a natural history book published in 1894. Written after the author spent winter 1892–93 on the island collecting specimens for her health, this work catalogs Tenerife's lepidopterous fauna for amateur enthusiasts. Featuring twenty-nine butterflies and thirty-four moths with colored illustrations from the author's drawings, it provides descriptions, habits, and life histories. The book includes several species figured for the first time and documents creatures peculiar to the Canary Islands.
