The image depicts a landscape with a winding path around small cliffs. The horizon is shown with hills and tree lines in the distance. The brushstrokes are detailed and textured, especially in the foliage. The color scheme is mainly shades of brown to black. A rocky path with grass and bushes leads to figures on horseback. Tall trees and clouds are visible in the background.
