The image is of a relief sculpture on a circular medallion. The central subject is a horse's head in profile, facing left. It includes features like an eye, nostril, and a curving mane. In the foreground, there are etched depictions of a book. The sculpture is made of bronze with a greenish patina. The border is inscribed with text and there are two small holes, maybe for suspension.
