The image shows a portrait of a woman. She is seated with her body turned slightly to her left, her right arm resting on a reddish-brown plush armchair. Her face is turned towards the viewer, with calm blue eyes, a faint smile, and clearly defined features. Her hair is styled in elaborate curls framing her face, and she wears a white, lace-edged bonnet with a wide ribbon tied beneath her chin. She is dressed in a dark dress with a high neckline and wide, puffed sleeves. The background is a plain, dark color.
