The image shows a woman from the waist up, seated and facing slightly to her left. Her facial features are delicate and she has a serious expression. She has dark hair styled in a smooth, tight updo with a middle part. She is wearing a formal plaid-patterned dress with a high white collar and voluminous sleeves gathered at the cuffs. The dress has decorative details and lace. One hand rests on her lap, and the other may be adjusting a part of her dress. She wears a ring on one of her fingers. The background is a plain, slightly textured, sepia-toned wall.
