About this work
Assekrem is a high plateau in the Ahaggar Mountains in southern Algeria. It stands out from the Atakor plateau within the Ahaggar National Park. It has an elevation of 2,180 meters. The Charles de Foucauld's hermitage is located on the summit of Assekrem plateau, and is still inhabited by a few monks.
