About this work
This historic roller shutter with chain drive and metal guide rails, once typical for residential buildings of the Gründerzeit period, was located until 2022 on the unrestored corner house at Herrnhuter Straße 1 in Leipzig and was captured in the autumn evening sun. With the renovation of the listed building completed in 2023, this now very rare roller shutter along with its metal cladding disappeared.
