About this work
Lake Baskunchak, Baskunchak nature park: Astrakhan Oblast, Russia. Wooden pillars were used for salt production – a net attached to the pillars was lowered into the very salty (the salinity is about 300 g/l) lake water. After that it was raised and the salt crystallized.
