About this work

Jewish cemetery near Waibstadt, Germany. A typical group of gravestones in the oldest, i.e. southeastern part of the cemetery. These splendid gravestones date back to the 18th century. The cemetery is located completely in a wood, hence very dark. This photo was taken in the autumn, when the cemetry is a bit brighter. The autumn leaves make it more colourful, but at the same time remind me of the transiency of life.
