About this work
The old Jewish cemetery near Heinsheim, Bad Rappenau, Germany. This cemetery was established in the 16th century and is one of the largest and best preserved Jewish cemeteries in south-west Germany. The photo shows the view over the eastern enclosure wall to the first row of gravestones, which date from the late 18th/early 19th century. The photo was taken on an autumn evening shortly before sunset, hence the saturated, but somewhat subdued colours.
