About this work
General view at dusk of the ruins of the castle of Sagunto, Valencia, Spain. Constructed in the 10th century on a site already used by the Iberians, the castle was renovated in the 18th and 19th centuries. Evidence of occupation by several civilisations has been found here: Iberians, Romans, Goths and Arabs.
