About this work
A Royal Air Force (RAF) Airbus A330 MRTT, known in RAF service as Voyager KC3 (military registration ZZ337) multi-role tanker transport (MRTT) aircraft is parked on the flightline at Mount Pleasant Airfield in the Falkland Islands.
The full passenger and cargo capability can be used while Voyager is also utilised for air to air refuelling (AAR) operations. The cabin remains fully configured, and the cargo compartments are unobstructed. On a typical deployment across the Atlantic, a single Voyager aircraft is able to refuel four Panavia Tornado fighter jets, and still carry 11,000 pounds (5,000 kilograms) of freight and passengers.
