About this work

The Flaming Star Nebula (IC 405 / SH2-229) and the Tadpole Nebula (IC 410 / NGC 1893) are vast star-forming regions located in the constellation Auriga in high-resolution 108MP

The Flaming Star Nebula (IC 405) is both an emission and reflection nebula, illuminated by the massive runaway star AE Aurigae. Nearby is IC 410, an immense ionized hydrogen (HII) region hosting the young open star cluster NGC 1893. The latter is famous for its cosmic "tadpoles": dense pillars of interstellar gas and dust, about 10 light-years long, sculpted by the intense stellar winds and radiation from the cluster's stars.
