About this work

The so-called “Bonn hunting bowl” is a painted ceramic bowl from the first half of the 11th Dynasty of Egypt, dating to around 2100 BCE. It depicts a hunting scene with a Nubian archer. The bowl was discovered in 1969 at Qubbet el-Hawa near Aswan and is now housed in the Egyptian Museum of the University of Bonn.
