About this work
Impressions from the Hof Christmas market on the afternoon and evening of December 19, 2025. Here you can see a man, presumably dressed as St. Nicholas, distributing gifts to children at the market with his sleigh. He is also a popular photo attraction at the market, either with own children (by the photographers) or with others. Permission to upload the photo was granted by the subject. The cut at the top was chosen to be slightly wider, as the reindeer and rows of lights accentuate the motif. The crop at the top was chosen to be slightly wider, as the reindeer and the rows of lights accentuate the motif. An open aperture was used to reduce image noise and make the background appear slightly blurred. The wider angle of view shows more of the motif and allows for subsequent cropping if necessary.
