About this work
A captive rufous beaked snake (Rhamphiophis rostratus) and speckled sand snake (Psammophis punctulatus) resting together on a rock at Nairobi Snake Park in Kenya. Yes, they posed like this on their own! The rufous beaked snake had been laying on the rock for some time before the speckled sand snake slithered up over its neck. The rufous beaked snake was completely unbothered, and they stayed in this pose for a minute or two before peacefully parting ways.
