About this work
Interior of the Taoist temple 雲林廟 (The Temple among the Forest beneath the Clouds) at the Joss House State Historic Park in Weaverville, California, on May 11, 2025. This is the oldest wooden Chinese temple still in use in California. It was built in 1874 to replace an earlier structure from 1853 which had been destroyed by fire.
