About this work

Hadada ibis (Bostrychia hagedash), Tarangire National Park, Tanzania. The hadada ibis, that occurs throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, is a large ibis (about 76 centimetres (30 in)) with a mean body mass of 1.2 kilograms (2.6 lb). It is named for its loud three to four note calls uttered in flight especially in the mornings and evenings when they fly out or return to their roost trees.
