About this work

Wild bearded vulture (Gypaetus barbatus) in flight searching for food and finding a piece of carcass. Completely eradicated from the Alps at the beginning of the 20th century, this large predator has gradually been reintroduced in Europe. The bearded vulture feeds on the bones of dead animals, helping to reduce the spread of diseases in the wild. Image set number 5 out of 5.
