About this work
Oallenjárga of Kvenvika bay in Alta, Troms og Finnmark, Norway in 2023 September. The small river Kvenvikelva (or Oallejohka) flows down from lake Kvenvikvannet (Čuvošjávri) and meets Altafjorden here at Kvenvika bay (also known as Šuovošluovta, Guonnaluovta or Suislahti). The yellow material is highly likely Fucus vesiculosus seaweed accumulated on the white shore by the tides. The shallow beach gets exposed during the low tide.
