About this work

Front of a church bench at the Holy Cross chapel in Dülmen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany The Roman Catholic Cross Chapel is located in Dülmen on Kapellenweg near Lüdinghauser Straße. The brick chapel was built in 1696 to replace an older oratory for the sick of the former neighboring leprosarium. The chapel burned down in 1759 and was rebuilt in 1765 outside the city gates, on calvary, later mostly called Chapel Hill.
