About this object
Both the JSC Mark III and the ARC AX-5 suit have been designed to operate at a pressure of 8.3 psi. Current space shuttle spacesuits operate at 4.3 psi and require a time-consuming pre-breathing operation prior to the beginning of any spacewalk.
