This is a photograph of the moon's surface featuring a U.S. flag and a person in a white spacesuit. The dark sky beyond contrasts with the brightly lit surface of the gray moon, which is covered in fine, grey dust featuring numerous footprints. In the center of the photograph, the flag stands on a thin rod and extends outward to the left. The person in the spacesuit is on the right, facing the flag. On the left side of the image, parts of a metal object are visible, which look like a metallic framework.
