The story revolves around Aditi Pandit (Tabu), a devoted wife and mother whose comfortable world shatters when she unexpectedly receives a vast inheritance willed to her by her long-lost music teacher, Malhar Kamat (Mohnish Bahl). Intrigued and suspicious, her husband Shrikant (Sachin Khedekar) cross-checks his old diaries from 25 years ago and realizes he was traveling abroad when Aditi became pregnant with their son Aniket (Sunil Barve).

Confronted in front of the family, a past moment of vulnerability born out of loneliness and emotional neglect comes to light. However, as Shrikant and Aniket attempt to shame and condemn her while ignoring Shrikant's own hypocrisy and extramarital past, Aditi stands her ground.
