In the United States, Donald Trump’s Republican Party has suffered a major political setback in the midterm elections, and its impact is now being felt in financial markets across the globe. There is a growing stir among investors—from the U.S. and Europe to India. Meanwhile, a sharp decline in crude oil prices has provided significant relief to the Indian market. The Indian stock market witnessed a massive surge today. The American public has truly taught Trump a lesson. The question now arises: will Trump’s defeat lead to a shift in the world order?
