Geeta Rao returns to India having lived abroad for many years. She is caught between two admirers: her friend Vikram and her boyfriend, political activist Siddharth, who is a member of the Naxalite movement, working in Bihar's rural regions, where repression, exploitation and human rights abuse are rampant.
