# Regulation of Artificial Intelligence in Eurasia: Development of Legal Frameworks

The presenters reviewed how Albania, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine responded to the emerging proliferation of AI and developed their strategies, methodologies, and legislation to ensure responsible adoption of AI as understood by these countries’ authorities.

There is a wide diversity of approaches to implementing AI without clear and time-tested models of success or failure. The selected cases illustrated how different jurisdictions are responding to these challenges through distinct governance methods and regulatory choices. An overview of national laws regulating the development and use of artificial intelligence in the countries surveyed compared and contrasted the application of AI, especially in public administration and critical infrastructure, and explored broader trends in the application of AI across the continent.
