# Get the Power, Keep It, Wield It: Intrigue and Adventure with Gabi Burton and Traci Chee

There’s power in my losses and power in my wins: Gabi Burton and Traci Chee share this truth as they discuss their novels with Ashley Dickerson. In Burton’s “To Steal a Throne,” Mira starts emerging from her half-brother’s shadow to take control of Virdei’s court. In Chee’s “Kindling,” seven ex-soldiers, many carrying an unwanted power, each search for purpose in a “Seven Samurai” retelling.
