# Stepping Out of the (Barbie) Box, with Alex Aster

Bestselling young adult writer Alex Aster has taken on a new collaborator (of sorts!): Barbie. Yes, that Barbie. Her new novel, “Barbie: Dreamscape,” is a vivid, vibrant coming-of-age novel that imagines what happens when Barbie’s carefully planned future is turned upside down, and she embarks on an adventure that takes her far beyond the safety of home.
