# Finding Pictures: Discover Gilded Age Treasures in the Richard Morris Hunt Collection

Let’s dive into the gilded age treasures with the historian Sam Watters who recently published two books on Hunt, after conducting extensive research at the Library. One of the books, “The Gilded Life of Richard Morris Hunt” won the 2024 Publication Award of the Victorian Society New York, as well as the 2024 Publication Award from the Society’s national chapter. Watters will talk about his research experience and advise how to use the Library’s diverse and large collections to efficiently perform research and Mari Nakahara, Curator of Architecture, Design, and Engineering, who has assisted Watters with his Hunt research for the last ten years, will walk through the Hunt Collection.
